Its official, this year we will be hosting the first inaugural ‘T-Town Flotilla’, Friday, August 19 — Sunday, August 21, 2011.
T-Town Flotilla

Where: Alfred’s Café, 402 Puyallup Ave Tacoma, WA 98421
This months ride will be orchestrated by the clubs seasoned architect of mysterious routes, Jeff C. aka Papa Chester. Although the details are still shrouded in a veil of enigma, it will no doubt be peppered with suitable refreshment stations, leafy canopies and maybe a surprise culmination.
The long range weather forecast is as always at this time of year, unpredictable. However, rain or shine, our spirits will refuse to be dampened. All are welcome. Club membership NOT required..

It is absolutely mandatory that you watch the Rank Organisation’s “Scooter Commuter” film from 1962. A lot of the pitch is still true today, but more than anything, it’s just heartwarming to see such well-shot footage of vintage Vespas and Lambrettas (and Corgis, and Bonds, and more) in action back when a silk scarf was all the head protection you needed. It’s like watching Quadrophenia without the baggage and overwrought bass noodling.
