Fireball 420 Run, Wednesday, April 20, 2016

Author: ufor360  //  Category: Club Rides, Puget Sound Events and Rides

When: Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Breakfast at 9:00 AM, Poot Sharp at 10:15 AM

Meet at: Ben Dews Clubhouse and Grill, 6501 6th Ave, Tacoma, Washington 98406

This is probably the only ride in the PAC Northwest that is held on a Weekday which this year is Wednesday, April 20th (duh!) We have been informed that the theme will be ‘Sex, Drugs and Rock n’ Roll’ and once again will be sponsored solely by FIREBALL… As always, the details are shrouded in enigma that not even other Firkins have been privileged too. However, the organizers have assured us that it will be riddled with competition, riding and challenges. Breakfast will commence at 9:00 AM at Ben Dews Club House and Grill at which time the teams will be picked and the details divulged before being ejected out onto the streets at 10:15 AM Sharp so be prepared and ready to ride; Lethargy may reflect badly on your team. Make sure your belly is full as the break for lunch isn’t until 2:00 PM.

After lunch, frivolity will continue for the remainder of the afternoon and we do expect to be greeted by the Fireball Angels at an undisclosed location at the end of the day.

This is a public event open to all Scooterists….Don’t by shy, invite yer friends..

T-Town Flotilla V, 2015 :: A Recap

Author: ufor360  //  Category: Club Rides, General, Puget Sound Events and Rides

Time is fluid. When it’s in abundance with no sense of urgency, it moves placidly like the calm depths of a glacial lake. When urgency expresses itself, it begins to increase speed with the temporal velocity of a fast flowing spring stream, crashing over other responsibilities and goals with reckless abandon. At 12:30 AM, Thursday morning, just over a day away from the T-Town Flotilla, the clubs Raffle Lambretta that had been undergoing a rebuild for the last year, sputters into life upon Jason’s 4th Kick….

T-Town Flotilla IV, 2014 :: A Recap

Author: ufor360  //  Category: Club Rides, General, Puget Sound Events and Rides

The Friday midafternoon sky is an indecisive pallet of dirty blue, yellow and gray. A roll and crack of thunder reaches a crescendo across the mighty expanse signaling the arrival of the 4th Annual Firkin SC T-Town Flotilla. It’s sufficient enough for the grand yellow orb to establish its authority and banish the lingering vagaries to hidden corners of the state allowing the wild blue yonder to emerge as a vast sweeping blanket of expectation. The Parkway Tavern, a safe refuge and weekly gathering spot for like minded individuals, eagerly awaits to entertain intrepid souls from all points of the compass. As the late afternoon beckons, the rattle and pop of vintage bikes and the soft rumble of the moderns (with the exception of Butter Thunder who announces her presence with conviction) peppers the air as the first begin to arrive.
