Where :: Alfred’s Café, 402 Puyallup Ave, Tacoma, WA 98421.
All are welcome. This will be our Firkin Scooter Club Monthly ride for May and will be hosted by Firkin member Frank Kuzmanich . This ride will be 75 to 80 miles long with about 3 hours of ride time not including 4 stops and is 50 cc safe.
We will be meeting at our usual starting point:
Alfred’s Café 402 Puyallup Ave Tacoma, WA 98421.
Meet up at 10 to 10:30 AM for those who would like some Breakfast and or Coffee before we head out.
We will be departing Alfred’s at 11:00 AM.

We have a lot to discuss including but not limited to the upcoming LeMay Car Museum Opening, Planning for this Years T-Town Flotilla and the May Ride which we will wedge in amongst all the other Scooter events that have sprung up like dirty tulips.

Please note that there is a Member Price of $25 and Non-Member Price of $35
Each vehicle entry includes two entry tickets into the museum valued at $14ea – total value $28.

Show ENTRY REGISTRATION PROCESS
Please Register your Vehicle for the day you have been selected
Also Please take note you have been invited to display on a specific day
Please make a matching selection to your given show day as indicated above when you register as your vehicle. This day has been pre selected for your entry for us to properly group entries for display.
Please arrive between 7:30am and 9:00am to get situated on the show field for the day.
Show ends on Saturday at 3pm – On Saturday there will be a concert from 4pm – 5:30pm
Please note on Saturday we ask that if you do not depart before 3:30pm we ask you not to depart between 3:30pm and 5:30pm

As this is the first Sunday of the month, we will be holding this month’s meeting during the Ride.
Yes, we will definitely be meeting at our regular Alfred’s Café launch pad. The scheduled ride may take us out to the British Aisle Tea shop for some crumpets and a strong pot of Earl Grey followed by a tour of the Bikini Baristas in the area concluding with a test drive of the recently released 4 Stroke 200cc Vespa GS (popularized by Roman Holiday) at Northwest Scooters…
Or, it may not….
Currently, the plan is to conduct a reconnaissance ride of the proposed T-Town Flotilla route.
If you are not attending the Spring Scoot in Portland, please do join us..!!
UPDATE from the architect or our fate:
” Hello Firkin’s,
It’s going to be a beautiful day Saturday for “The Brewery Romp”.
The scoot will begin at the Harmon Brewery and continue on to 3 or 4 other local brewery’s. After the Harmon we will be stopping at a brewery that in addition to beer, also has soft drinks available. One of the beers they offer is a “Mango Weizen” that is a nice easy drinking lighter, fruitier beer. The next brewery stop does not offer anything but beer. I talked with them and they said that it is okay for you to bring in your own soft drink so you might want to consider carrying some with you. The next stop is dependant on time. I know little about this place and we may decide to just go to our final brewery stop and call it a day.
We will have a late lunch at our last brewery stop. This stop includes a great menu and a full service bar with wine and soft drinks. If we limit our stops to 4 breweries we should arrive at our last stop around 4:00 or 5:00.

John C. has organized a Scooter Romp this Saturday, March 24 that will lead us on a tour of some of the more prominent Micro Breweries in the area. We will meet at the Harmon Brewery at 10:00 AM for Breakfast with a scheduled poot off at 11:00 AM sharp. Unfortunately, this will not be a 50cc friendly ride due to the distances that are expected to be covered. Be ready to ride and have your taste buds abused by cheeky effervescent nectars… See you there..!!
Note: If there is no space in front of the Harmon, park in the rear and use the back door…

From the ice crystal snow fields of January, Tom B.’s debut ride has been resurrected. This will be a ride of approximately 55 miles with three interim refreshment breaks and a repose for lunch concluding in the late afternoon at Alfred’s Café.
This ride is open to all interested scooter owners. There is one 1/2 mile segment that will allow for higher speeds but apart from that, this should be a 50 cc friendly ride..
